The Customer
Single Agriculture is a family farming business based in Coonabarabran, NSW with a deep passion for water management and weed control.
The Problem
Single Agriculture had identified a business opportunity on their farm: if they develop a piece of technology to get their existing boom sprayers to only spray the weeds on a fallow they would be able to take their spray costs from $15/ha to less than $1/ha.
The Technical Solution
Our team of electrical engineers & industrial designers developed a customised tech hardware product with the following key features:
Machine vision detection that was capable of discerning a living from dead plat down to the size of a 50c piece from 60 meters in the air
High Precision GPS with post processed capabilities
Integration into existing boom sprayers systems without the need for additional equipment or involvement by the OEM
Complex mathematics and data processing to convert detected weeds to highly accurate location in space
